The community cooperative of La Ventanilla, about 10 minutes from Mazunte, runs guided boat tours through its mangrove lagoon. The tour takes about 2 hours and you can see crocodiles, iguanas and birds. Private boats for up to 7 people, a dawn bird-watching trip and a paddle-powered night tour to spot crocodiles are also offered.
